The Community

Community involvement is key to our success. We started in March 2016 with a call to action to preserve the HdG Colored School that was answered by many in our community. Since the March meeting, more volunteers have joined our cause but more are still needed.

Getting Started

The HdG Colored School Foundation sprung roots in March 2016, when members of the community met at a town-hall style meeting to seek ways of preserving the Colored School

Get Involved

Here are some of the things that everyone can do:

#1. Spread the word—ask friends, family, and associates to join us or donate to our cause,

#2. Sign up to receive flyers to hand out to potential supporters,

#3. Join one of our teams,

#4. and/or simply like us on Facebook.
